Galatians 5:16 Walk by the Spirit and you will certainly not carry out the desire of the flesh.
What does walk by the Spirit mean?
It means that you have allowed the Holy Spirit to guide you; you have been set apart – Holy, sanctified, and you are super sensitive to the Holy Spirit’s direction. You live your life under the influence of the Holy Spirit. When we walk by the Spirit of God, we listen to the Holy Spirit as He guides us in the path and nature of Jesus. The Holy Spirit always points to Jesus! So now knowing what walking in the Spirit means, we can understand why the Scripture then says “and you will not carry out the desires of the flesh”. You will know if you walk by the Spirit if your life resembles Jesus. You will know if you walk in the spirit if you are spiritually minded through out the day. When we walk in the spirit, we allow the Holy Spirit to guide us and lead us all day long not just during prayer time or devotion or in church but all day everyday and we will see a big difference in our life!
